Thank you, Nicholas Russo for being an inspiration to me. At some point in my career, I wanted to change a few things, and your input helped me figure out what to do. Your materials helped me slowly transition to the devnet path. It’s a shame we never met. My condolences and prayers to his family and friends.

Do we have Adoption Frameworks for Network and UC Automation? As I explored more cloud service providers, I gained deeper insights into the strategies related to adoption frameworks. The central focus of these adoption frameworks is to facilitate a mindset shift within organizations and identify the processes that need transformation to transition to cloud-based workloads and operating models successfully. While the specifics may vary, most cloud adoption frameworks share several common elements. 1. Migration Planning: Assessing existing infrastructure and developing a comprehensive cloud migration strategy.2. Cloud Architecture Design: Providing best practices and architectures for building and deploying cloud-native applications.3. Governance and Compliance: Establishing policies, processes, and controls for secure and compliant cloud resource management.4. Operations Management: Offering guidelines and tools for efficient cloud operations, including provisioning, deployment, and optimization.5. Skills Development: Providing training and certifications to build cloud expertise within the organization.6. Continuous Improvement: Promoting an iterative approach to refine cloud strategies based on evolving needs and technology. When looking at how organizations implement network and unified communications automation, I noticed a gap, no comprehensive adoption framework like the ones available for cloud adoption exists. While vendors provide best practice guides, they often focus on specific use cases rather than covering the entire adoption process.I've seen many organizations take a narrow, use-case-driven approach to automation. While addressing specific use cases is valuable, this approach often overlooks the broader impact on overall processes and long-term goals. Organizations tend to focus on short-term objectives, leading to conflicts between different automation efforts and making them difficult to maintain as systems or processes evolve.Having an adoption framework could help organizations develop a sustainable, organization-wide automation strategy instead of addressing use cases in isolation. Such a framework could guide organizations in assessing the broader impact, aligning initiatives, and maintaining a long-term focus, similar to how cloud adoption frameworks facilitate the transition to cloud-based workloads and operating models.I'd like to learn more about your experiences, approaches to network automation planning, and any best practices you follow within your organizations. If any adoption frameworks or structured methodologies already exist in this space, please share them. Understanding your view and the mindset behind the approach will be pretty interesting. #NetworkAutomation #UCAutomation #AdoptionFrameworks#CloudAdoption #ITStrategy #BusinessProcessAutomation#EnterpriseNetworks #BestPractices

I love this #Codefinity learning platform. It was a quick way to recap everything that I knew about Python. Let the #devnet journey begin.

No more free ESXi releases – a surprising turn of events for many, including home lab enthusiasts and those using VMware in smaller setups. This change prompts a shift towards alternatives like Proxmox, which offers an open-source solution for virtualization needs. For home lab owners, this could mean dedicating time to transition and adapt to new platforms. What are your experiences with migrating to Proxmox or other virtualization solutions? Are there alternatives you'd recommend exploring?#Virtualization #Proxmox #VMware #HomeLab
